Overview & Highlights
Corfu Holiday Palace in Kanoni, just a stone’s throw from Corfu Town, blends classic five-star comfort with phenomenal views of the Ionian Sea, Chalikiopoulou Lagoon, the Vlacherna Chapel and the famous Mouse Island (Pontikonisi). You’ll enjoy a private beach – easily reached by a charming funicular lift, a large outdoor seawater pool, and a blissfully heated indoor pool (open in April & October), so swimming is a joy no matter the season for 2025. When it comes to dining, you’ll find both buffet and culinary specialities ranging from Mediterranean classics to sushi.
Architecture, Ambience & Cleanliness
Set on a hillside with mature trees, the main building rises over several floors, and the gardens cascade down to the sea. Public areas evoke a grand era, complemented by modern touches. Many rooms – especially the VERDE categories – have recently been refurbished. Housekeeping is reliably thorough every day; fabrics and surfaces feel well-maintained. In non-renovated areas, there’s a charming retro flair, but overall impressions are overwhelmingly positive.
Value & Price Point
The hotel’s iconic postcard-perfect setting is hard to beat – and justifies the price tag. Bonus points for direct beach access via funicular, free sunbeds by both pool and beach, and a wide choice of room types, including bungalows with shared/private pools and individual villas. Its proximity to both the UNESCO-listed Old Town and the airport means you’re never far from the action. If you want the latest facilities, go for the newly renovated categories, but overall, this is excellent value for money on Corfu.
Beach & Pool
The private, sheltered beach lies just below the resort, conveniently accessible via a funicular railway – a delightful experience in itself! The water is clear and shallow, perfect for swimming and snorkelling. The panoramic open-air terrace features a generous seawater pool for a true holiday vibe, with poolside and beach bar service. For cooler days, the indoor heated pool is available (April & October). Add in two floodlit tennis courts, table tennis, and plentiful water sports to keep the activity level high.
Food & Drink
At the main restaurant “Eptanisa”, guests start their day with a generous breakfast buffet and enjoy vibrant buffet dinners with show cooking and theme nights (Greek, Corfiot, BBQ, Italian, and more). There’s also an à la carte menu. “La Veranda di Corfu” is a delight for foodies, offering Mediterranean and Greek cuisine paired with select wines, while the Japanese “Kukutsi” Sushi Bar provides Japanese favourites with stunning views of Pontikonisi. During the day, “Almira” Pool Bar Restaurant and “Brachera” Beach Bar serve snacks and drinks; in the evening, “Kefi” Bar is the place to be for cocktails and socialising into the night.
Service & Ambience
The spirit of Greek hospitality pervades the hotel: staff are attentive, friendly, and multilingual. Questions are answered quickly, and the concierge is happy to help with everything from excursions to car hire and golf reservations. The atmosphere is relaxed, with a touch of Mediterranean chic and subtle retro charm. As the hotel is close to the airport’s landing strip, you may hear aircraft at times – but many guests enjoy plane spotting from the comfort of the resort!
Who is Corfu Holiday Palace best for? Couples and friends who adore sea views and want to be near the Old Town, plus families who’ll appreciate the gently shelving beach and bungalows that fit everyone. For an extra special stay, opt for a renovated room or bungalow with a shared or private pool. Seeking peace? Choose a sea view room on an upper floor and avoid peak buffet times.
